Paul is a Chartered Certified Accountant, Chartered Tax Advisor and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Prior to establishing his own tax consultancy, he was a tax partner of KPMG in the Isle of Man.

In 2008 Paul was elected to be the inaugural chairman of the newly formed Isle of Man branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He is currently a director of the Isle of Man branch of STEP.

Paul specialises in two main areas:

(1) UK private client tax advice from an offshore perspective. He focuses on such matters as residence, domicile and the use of offshore trusts and companies and other entities for trading, investment and wealth management. He also has a great deal of experience in UK property related transactions, both from an investment and trading perspective

(2) International taxation and the taxation of offshore funds.

In addition he is prepared to act as a director on companies where tax issues are relevant to maximise investor return and to act as an independent trustee (in conjunction with or separate from) existing trustees where tax may be an issue
