Change of personal allowance to £6,035

Here's an update on the chancellors changes to income tax following the recent politicking on the 10p tax issue. Darling has decreed that the personal allowance will increase to £6,035 in the current tax year (previously announced £5,435) and that to try and cap his losses, the point which higher rate tax starts will be a taxable income of £34,800 (previously £36,000), i.e. total income of £40,835.
