Countries that don't tax worldwide income

If you're looking to establish residence in a country that does not tax worldwide income there are three broad choices: Firstly you could opt for a country that levies tax on a territorial basis. This includes countries such as Panama, Costa Rica, Singapore and Hong Kong. These countries don't tax income generated from overseas. Secondly you could opt for a country that levies tax on the remittance basis. This includes countries such as the UK (if the remittance basis is claimed by a non UK domiciliary), Malta, Barbados and Japan. These countries only tax income from overseas when it is remitted back to the country of residence. Thirdly you could choose a country that does not levy any personal tax at all. This includes countries such as the Bahamas, BVI, Monaco and Andorra.
